Good Enough Maps

Legal

Terms of Service.

These terms govern access to the Good Enough Maps website, dashboard, billing flow, and Places API.

1. The service

Good Enough Maps provides a hosted place-search API built on open Overture Places data, account management, API keys, quota tracking, optional account-owned layers, and billing self-service. The service is intended for backend/server-side use. You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential and for calls made with keys issued to your account.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep access credentials secure. You may not create accounts or use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law. Email verification may be required before API key creation or billing actions.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

4. Plans, quotas, and billing

Plans have monthly request quotas and hard caps. When quota is exhausted, the API may return a quota error until the next reset or plan change. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Prices, quota amounts, and plan features may change prospectively, but changes will not reduce a paid period already purchased unless required by law or accepted by you through Stripe billing self-service.

5. Data and results

Place results depend on Overture data, Good Enough Maps indexing, and any layers selected for a request. Results may be incomplete, stale, duplicated, missing, or incorrect. You are responsible for testing whether the service fits your use case and for any decisions your application makes with returned data.

6. Customer content

If you submit account-owned layers, corrections, private records, or place submissions, you retain your rights in that content. You grant Good Enough Maps the rights needed to host, process, display, index, and serve that content as part of the service and to protect service integrity. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

7. Availability and changes

The service may be updated, limited, suspended, or discontinued. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Good Enough Maps does not provide a service-level agreement, uptime warranty, or guaranteed data refresh schedule.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Good Enough Maps may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, security risk, policy abuse, illegal use, or material breach of these terms. Termination does not waive amounts already owed.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Good Enough Maps disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Good Enough Maps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
